Refund & Support Policy

We aim to be clear, fair, and respectful of your time. This policy explains what you're paying for, when refunds apply, and how to get help if something goes wrong.

What you're paying for

When you purchase a scan, you are paying for:

  • Secure processing of your uploaded bank statement PDF
  • Conversion into a clean, analysis-ready CSV file
  • A downloadable export suitable for Excel, Google Sheets, and similar tools

You are not paying for:

  • Ongoing monitoring
  • Manual data cleanup or correction
  • Guaranteed compatibility with every bank or statement format
  • Accounting or financial advice

Refunds

Eligible for a refund

We will issue a full refund if any of the following occur:

  • The PDF uploads successfully, but no usable CSV is generated
  • The CSV is malformed (broken columns, unreadable data, unusable in spreadsheets)
  • A technical error on our side prevents download after payment
  • You are charged but do not receive access to the export

If something genuinely didn't work, we'll make it right.


Not eligible for a refund

Refunds are generally not issued if:

  • The statement is password-protected and cannot be processed
  • The statement is scanned or image-only with no readable text
  • The bank uses a non-standard or unsupported PDF format
  • The CSV is generated correctly, but the results are not what you personally expected
  • You successfully downloaded the CSV and it opens correctly in spreadsheet software

We surface errors and limitations before payment whenever possible to avoid surprises.

How to request a refund

Please include:

  • The email used for payment
  • A brief description of the issue
  • (Optional) The bank name and statement month

We usually respond within 1–2 business days.

Support

What support includes:

  • Upload or download issues
  • Understanding the CSV structure and columns
  • Clarifying how amounts, dates, or values are formatted
  • Troubleshooting spreadsheet import problems

What support does not include:

  • Manual data correction
  • Custom formatting requests
  • Vendor-specific cancellation assistance
  • Financial or accounting advice

Data privacy & retention

  • Uploaded PDFs are processed securely
  • Files are deleted automatically after conversion
  • We do not store bank credentials
  • We do not sell or share your financial data

Fair use

Abuse of the refund process (such as repeated refund requests after successful exports) may result in access limitations.

We trust users to act in good faith, and we do our best to do the same.
